Connect With Ministries

Ministries

Getting involved with the different ministries is a great way to meet people, serve and connect with others. Through involvement in ministries our lives are strengthened and empowered together.

Adult Programs and Bible Studies
Bible Study Classes are offered every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. for adults of all ages.  Classes are also available at the same time for a men's group and a women's group.
Bible Institute
Training Ministers and Laity in Biblical Knowledge and Leadership
Children's Ministry
We believe it is important for our children to be loved, respected, and made to feel important. That's why we provide the children with their own worship services designed to meet their needs and of course, provide A LOT of fun!  Visit Children's Ministry website.
Community Service
Community Service is available in two forms of ministry as follows: (1)  Various groups from our church family seek to help those in the community through service projects for improvement and also assisting with individual needs. (2)  The church is an outreach ministry for those needing to complete community service hours during probation periods.  We desire to minister to the individuals and their families as we work along side them to complete projects.
Contemporary and Traditional Music
Music has played an integral part in the history of the Church of God Reformation Movement and that legacy lives on today at First Church of God. Utilizing musical ensembles of all ages and a wide array of technology, we celebrate the presence of God and lead the Body in Spirit-inspired worship.  Visit Music Ministry's Website.
Discipleship
A very important part of our Mission Statement is to "grow disciples" for Jesus Christ.  Because of that commitment, one-on-one discipleship development is offered through the leadership of our Steward of Evangelism and Discipleship and team members who have a desire to help others grow in their walk with Christ.
Family Night
Family Night is offered as a FREE event once a month to encourage families within the church and the community to share laughter and make memories together.  Usually during the summer months, a family-friendly movie is shown on the ball field, along with free popcorn and drinks, if weather permits.  If not, the event will take place in the Family Life Center.
JOY Group (Age 55 +)
JOY Group is for individuals 55 or older, who are interested in having fellowship with those of the same age. They meet the first Thursday of each month for a covered-dish dinner and travel once per month to various locations and events.  Visit JOY Group's website.

Ladies of the church family meet monthly to develop and build personal relationships through spiritual growth, prayer, fellowship and fun. They support the Women of the Church of God nationally and several local ministries.   Visit Women's Ministry website.
